Homes To Love is the ultimate online destination for homes content. The platform shares inspirational stories and practical advice from four of Australia’s most loved interiors publications – Australian House & Garden, homes+, real living and Belle. Sitting behind the scenes at this interiors mecca is Olivia Clarke. A digital content manager with an insatiable appetite for fresh news and a passion for beautiful homes. Here we chat to Olivia about her role at Homes To Love and what she loves about Flaunter.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LOOK LIKE AS DIGITAL CONTENT MANAGER AT HOMES TO LOVE?
I start my day by checking my emails then searching the web for any trending topics or news stories. The rest of my days is a mix of editing and writing content and lots of social media!
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
What’s not to love! I get to stare at beautiful homes all day! But seriously, I feel very lucky to be exposed to such a wide range of creative and talented people – homeowners, interior designers, architects, stylists, small business owners – all bringing their creative vision to life.

WHAT DO YOU SPEND THE MOST TIME ON IN TERMS OF TASKS?
I’d say I spend most of my time writing content and I’m constantly on the hunt for fresh content and news.
WHAT DO YOU WISH PEOPLE WORKING IN PR KNEW ABOUT YOUR JOB THAT WOULD HELP MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER?
Working in digital is pretty fast-paced and we turn around content quite quickly so the quicker we can get the story out there, the better!
WHAT WOULD PEOPLE IN THE INDUSTRY BE SURPRISED TO LEARN ABOUT YOUR CURRENT ROLE?
Working in digital requires so many different skills from video editing to Photoshop – my job is definitely not restricted to writing.
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR JOB WOULD LOOK LIKE IN 5 YEARS TIME?
That’s hard to say! I hope it looks much like it is now but with technology moving as fast as it does that may be wishful thinking.
WHAT SHOULD BRANDS & PR’S DO WHEN TRYING TO GET THEIR PRODUCTS FEATURED ON HOMES TO LOVE?
First, make sure the product is relevant to the brand, tell us the story behind the product and include images or video if you have it as we are usually after the whole package.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN USING FLAUNTER & HOW DID YOU FIRST DISCOVER IT?
I’ve been using Flaunter for nearly three years. An old colleague introduced me to it and it was a real game changer.
HOW IS FLAUNTER USEFUL TO YOU?
I love that Flaunter gives you updates about new products and suggestions about what’s trending. It’s so accessible and easy to use – especially useful for people like me who work in the fast-paced world of digital!
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND FLAUNTER TO OTHERS?
Absolutely! It’s such an efficient and user-friendly free service that saves journalists a lot of time. Being in the industry and knowing exactly how media works, I think it is just as beneficial for us as it is for the brands using Flaunter as a platform to promote their product.
