The Flaunter Emerging Designer campaign showcases collections by 70 top graduates from Australia’s leading fashion schools.

Today, we reveal the finalists as selected by Caroline Tran, the impossibly stylish Fashion Editor of Harper’s BAZAAR Australia and Elle Australia. With a career spent amongst ‘it’ designers and the latest covetable collections, spotting fashion talent is Caroline’s bread and butter…

Syna Chen (RMIT)

@synachen

Emerging Designer Syna Chen

I love the play on sculpture and proportion with a contrast of femininity in this collection. When first looking at the images,  Syna’s aesthetic is easily identifiable.

Kim Clark (RMIT)

@kimoclark

Emerging Designer Kim Clark

The layered tailoring is so interesting with the mix of print and neutral colour palette. The tailoring feels very modern and fresh.

Domenic Roylance (UTS)

Emerging Designer Domenic Roylance

The proportion, textures, tailoring and colour palette feel very sophisticated. I love the big sculptural pieces, but nipped in at certain points of the body.

Bek Murray (UTS)

@bekmur

Emerging Designer Bek Murray

Bek’s take on menswear feels fresh, modern and somehow quintessentially Australian, but also could stand on its own in an international market. I love the layering of prints and how the imagery was shot.

Madeleine Porritt (RMIT)

@madeleineporritt

Emerging Designer Madeleine Porritt

I  gravitated towards Madeleine’s pieces as I imagined the wearability of the pieces. A modern take on womenswear.
