From A.P.C to Dion Lee, Golightly has the who’s who of fashion all in their corner. We caught up with the PR powerhouse to talk saving time, connecting with media and digitising showrooms with Flaunter.
On creating success Golightly is a premium communications agency with a fashion-centric focus. Throughout our 11 years of business we’ve helped nurture the expansion of the industry’s most successful brands while also acting as an advisory for both local brands and international players. We represent the likes of Rag and Bone and Karen Walker and have driven projects for names including Prada, Maticevski, Incu and Westfield.
On saving time The increasing demands of PR means that we always need to be on the lookout for ways to save time and streamline our process. As the media evolves, connecting with journalists, editors, influencers and bloggers can take time away from building campaigns and working with our clients. Since working with Flaunter, we have found a significant increase in hi-res press coverage. By having all our imagery and product information within easy reach of the media, it cuts out a lot of the emailing and to-ing and fro-ing that can sometimes take place.
Flaunter has become invaluable to our hi-res management process. It allows for all of our assets to be accessed remotely by both ourselves and the media which saves a significant amount of time.
On finding Flaunter Before implementing Flaunter we were actually using a different service. It was quite expensive and the service wasn’t on par with the price we were paying. From a visual standpoint, it was unattractive, clunky and slow to operate and just wasn’t meeting our company’s needs. As the Aussie dollar took a nosedive we started to look for other options and decided to trial the Flaunter image service.
On ticking all the boxes Once we started with the image service, we realised Flaunter had everything we were looking for. It was far more cost effective, had a pleasing visual design and a simple functionality. It also enabled us to streamline our processes by pulling everything into the one platform. We’ve since made use of the showroom service and digitised the Golightly showroom. We also love using the moodboard function to curate hi-res image selections for specific requests.
On pleasant surprises From starting off with a trial, we’re now in a place where Flaunter has become invaluable to our hi-res management process. It allows for all of our assets to be accessed remotely by both ourselves and the media which saves a significant amount of time. Short lead publications in particular are so on board with the Flaunter service – they realise how much these instant connections can help!
On favourite Flaunter features The local office is very helpful. Previous services we’ve used haven’t had an Australian based office or customer service rep which made troubleshooting issues slow and difficult. Without having a local team, these platforms have felt disconnected from the local industry and our needs. With Flaunter, we’ve always found that the team are on hand to resurrect any issues we may have. We’re also able to offer direct feedback and program function suggestions which are taken into consideration with development plans.
On Flaunter in three words Cost-effective, efficient, reactive
