Our top 5 picks from the 2025 Met Gala.

It’s that time of year again… the fashion world’s Super Bowl, Grand Prix, and World Cup all rolled into one. From the hosts to the guest list, the themes to the fashion, this event never fails to make waves.

We’ve been refreshing our feeds all day, hanging on for every update as each celeb steps onto the red (well, this year, blue and floral) carpet. So far, we’ve seen a pregnancy announcement, a red-carpet relationship debut, and, of course, a whole lot of fashion commentary. As the night winds down and tomorrow’s headlines start brewing, one thing’s for sure: there’s still plenty more to talk about.

For now, all we have are the looks - and trust us, we could be here for days. On the one day we all transform into major fashion critics from the comfort of our couches or office desks, let’s dive into our top 5 Met Gala 2025 looks.

Rhianna

Of course, we have to start with the queen herself—Bad Gal RiRi. Closing out the evening as the final arrival, Rihanna made a grand entrance, debuting her third pregnancy in a custom-tailored Marc Jacobs suit gown. While we didn’t get a joint red carpet moment with the iconic duo, her partner and father of her children, A$AP Rocky, stepped onto the carpet earlier in the evening. As one of this year’s co-hosts, he made his entrance solo, setting the stage for Rihanna’s unforgettable grand finale.

Lauryn Hill

We’ve had “Doo Wop (That Thing)” on repeat ever since the one and only Lauryn Hill made her Met Gala debut. As the guest of co-chair Pharrell Williams, Lauryn graced the carpet in a bold, butter-yellow ensemble paired with striking jewels - a look that paid homage to Ghanaian royalty from head to toe.

Jenna Ortega

Causing a stir in the comments is Jenna Ortega’s 2025 Met Gala look—and all we have to say is: we disagree with the hate. Amid the usual “it’s not on theme (crying face emoji)” takes, Ortega’s Balmain dress stands out as a clever and literal interpretation of the dress code. Made entirely of metal rulers, the gown is a striking tribute to couture and craftsmanship - built entirely from the very tools of the trade used by pattern makers.

Laura Harrier

Finding inspiration from archival family photos of Laura Harrier’s grandfather, designer Zac Posen had “Sunday Best” on his mind when creating her look. Blending femininity and masculinity, the tailored ensemble combined natural fibres with Gap’s signature denim, creating an elegant and dynamic silhouette - from the wide sleeves to the fitted vest and flared pants.

Zendaya

Deviating from her usual Met Gala gowns, Zendaya wowed in a suit that truly puts the "T" in tailored. The all-white custom Louis Vuitton fit pays direct tribute to both the theme and the dress code, highlighting the artistry and craftsmanship that defines tailoring. Oh, and did you notice the huge rock on her finger? Tom Holland, you did good.

Until next year…

And just like that, another Met Gala comes to a close - serving high fashion, bold statements, and more than a few internet-breaking moments. From suits that redefined tailoring to looks that turned the theme into wearable art, this year didn’t hold back.

Now, we wait. For the bathroom mirror selfies, the after-party chaos, the think pieces and of course, the memes. The headlines will roll in tomorrow, but one thing’s for sure - we're already counting down to next year. Because it’s that time of year again… and fashion’s Super Bowl never misses.
