Spotlight On: Amber, Head of Medley
In a world where trends come and go quicker than you can say “add to cart”, Medley Jewellery stands its ground with a message that cuts through the noise: Worn for Nobody. It’s not about flexing the latest must-have’s or curating a stack for clout. Medley is for the individual – the one who wears jewellery because they love it, not because anyone else says they should.
With its roots firmly planted in ethical sourcing, thoughtful design, and a commitment to slow, considered fashion, Medley creates jewellery that doesn’t shout – it speaks. It tells stories of personal style, of sentimentality, and everyday elegance.
In this interview, we sit down with Amber, the powerhouse behind the brand, to talk about what it means to design jewellery for real people, the responsibility that comes with precious materials, and how Medley is navigating 2025 – with grace, grit, and gold (plus a splash of silver, of course).
Hi Amber, thank you for joining us! Let’s start by finding out a little bit about yourself and your role at Medley.
Hey Flaunter!
I'm an online retail executive and I run Medley. I manage the whole business and oversee everything from creative direction (the fun side) to financial management (not as fun side).
Medley is committed to using conflict-free gold and responsible sourcing. Why was this an important value for the brand from the beginning?
We are! Jewellery holds a unique position in the retail industry because few products can be melted down and reused. Our products are made of recycled gold and silver where possible. We try and invest in sourcing the best quality materials as well as manufacturing ethically and are certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council.

And when it comes to bringing that to life, how do you approach building relationships with suppliers who share those same values?
Our suppliers are everything to us, we couldn't do what we do without their care and effort. I think when you align on your business values it makes it easy to nurture those relationships. Recognising that it's a group effort is the key.
The trend cycle is constantly evolving. How do you balance timeless appeal with modern trends in your jewellery designs?
Great question, our product team has extensive experience in jewellery and our design aesthetic gets weaved into each piece. We like our designs to feel like they can be worn every day. They can be tailored to the wearers' personal style. We also invest in re-designing existing styles and improving them.
We let our customers drive that with their feedback, reviews, and DM's on social channels.
As an accessories brand, what are some of the key challenges you are facing in 2025 and how are you overcoming them?
Jewellery is very sentimental and holds a lot of personal value. It's often purchased to celebrate a special moment, we try and focus on this when we sell product. Especially as the economy is doing it tough right now, we recognise the need for products at all price points.
What are your go-to marketing and PR strategies?
Exposure is key, we have a great PR agency we work with that really helps us achieve the exposure we need. As a small and newish brand, our biggest challenge is creating awareness. A combination of relationship building with creatives and our community as well as activations IRL helps. Our brand is online only so we are always looking at how we can get tactile with our community.

What has been your favourite collection or piece and why?
My all-time favourite would be our Autumn collection from last year, which was called 'Less is More' and inspired by the design school, Bauhaus. I loved our modern squared-edge pieces. Simple and minimal but makes a statement.
Can you believe we're halfway through 2025? What exciting things can we expect from Medley for the rest of the year?
We have our next collection dropping soon! We partnered up with MA-JR the label created by the woman behind Twice Blessed, twins Bec and Marissa. We love collaborating with like-minded brands who also invest in quality and a slower fashion cycle.
Who are three people you would love to see wear Medley?
Margot Robbie
Sofia Richie Grainge
Zoë Kravitz
Finally, the most important jewellery question of all – are you a silver or gold girl?
I'm a fine gold girl, with a splash of silver for times when I want a more statement style.
